Basics of Pilates for Irish Dancers

Breath + Alignment are two of the most important aspects of any Celticore workout. Creating + maintaining proper alignment throughout your practice will help you out tremendously on stage! Irish dancers are notorious at forgetting to breathe, so we thought we would take a few minutes to engage the Pilates method of breathing - slow, controlled inhales through your nose, and deep exhales out of your mouth "like you are fogging a mirror" - in addition to setting up the correct alignment utilized throughout nearly every other Celticore workout. Whether you're a non-dancer, at novice level or a World champion, returning back to the basics is always beneficial! Enjoy!
*We recommend that everyone new to Celticore / Pilates try out this video workout first! You'll be glad you did!
